Can I order multiples of the same dinner?
Each box can only contain one of each menu item. If you would like multiples of different dinners, you can order a second box to be delivered on the same day or you can order a box every other week, so you can enjoy multiples of your favorites or a larger variety of meals each month.
What if I want to order more than four dinners?
Great idea! You can order as many boxes of 4 delicious dinners as you want to be delivered on the same day. Want to try the whole menu? Order 3 different boxes and pick 4 menu items for each.
How often does your menu change?
Our menu changes on a Thursday evening every 4 or 5 weeks. Each menu is based on the month, but we do not follow a traditional calendar schedule. Watch your email for new menu launches.
How much does it cost?
A medium box which contains 4 dinners that each feed 2 – 3 people is $85. A large box which contains 4 dinners that each feed 4 – 6 people is $150.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is included in the price of your box.
How are my Dream Dinners shipped?
All Dream Dinners meals are carefully hand packed in a Styrofoam cooler or insulated liners with either frozen gel packs or dry ice and are delivered via FedEx.
When does Dream Dinners ship?
Dream Dinners orders can be delivered Tuesday – Thursday depending on your area. You will have the opportunity to choose a delivery date during check out. We do not ship orders if they will be in transit over the weekend. Please allow 1-3 business days for the order to arrive.
I’m concerned about the delivery of my dinners due to a storm or natural disaster. How can I find out the status?
Weather, natural disasters and other uncontrollable events can interrupt delivery service with little warning. Please refer to the tracking number provided with your order or contact our support team via the website with any questions or concerns regarding delivery. In addition, you can visit www.fedex.com and www.ups.com to sign up for alerts direct from the carrier.
Do I need to be home when the order arrives?
You do not need to be home when the order arrives, but the items do need to be placed in a refrigerator or freezer by 8 pm on the day of arrival. All Dream Dinners shipments are packed with enough dry ice or ice packs to ensure the food stays sufficiently cold during shipping and until 8 pm on delivery day, so the package can remain outdoors safely until you arrive home.
Can I send meals to a friend?
At this time, we are not able to ship meals directly to a friend. In the future, we hope to add gift cards and gifting to our services.
What is dry ice? How should it be handled?
Dry ice is the name given to carbon dioxide when it is in a solid state. Dry ice itself is not poisonous, but the surface of the solid is so cold that it should not be handled without gloves. For safety purposes, recipients should follow the guidelines below:
- Do not touch dry ice to skin, mouth or eyes.
- Do not put dry ice in drinks or eat it.
- Keep dry ice out of reach of children and pets.
- Store dry ice in an open and well-ventilated area.
- Never pick up dry ice with bare hands. Always wear hand protection: an oven mitt or heavy cloth towel works well.
- To dispose of dry ice, use a towel or mitt to protect hands. Place in a well-ventilated area like a garage or shop, or outdoors on a porch or patio, and out of the reach of children or pets. Within 24 hours the solid dry ice will convert to gas. Do not breathe carbon dioxide gas deeply or for an extended period of time.
How do I read the temperature tag included in my Dream Dinners box?
In order to track the temperature of your Dream Dinners box, we have included an easy to read temperature tag.
If all the dots on the temperature tag are white, meals can be placed directly into your freezer for later use or allow them to thaw in your refrigerator and prepare them over the next few days.
If the small, or both small and medium sized dots are red and your proteins are still frozen solid or contain ice crystals, the meal may be frozen for later use (even if some of the sauces are slightly thawed).
If the small, or both the small and medium sized dots are red and the meal is as cold as if refrigerated, store in your refrigerator and prepare over the next 3 days. Do not refreeze.
If the large dot is partially red and the meal is as cold as if refrigerated, store meal in your refrigerator and prepare the same day.
If all dots are solid red the food has been exposed to temperatures that may make it unsafe to consume. If a meal feels warmer than refrigerator temperature, contact our Customer Support Department at email@example.com to receive a replacement meal.
